Pittsburgh is a city in southwest Pennsylvania, built around the steel industry.

At one time, Pittsburgh was crawling with PCC streetcars, in fact having the largest streetcar system in the country for a time.  Since the 1960s, buses have replaced the PCC cars.

Nowadays, though, Pittsburgh still has rail.  The remainder of the PCC streetcar routes were rebuilt into a modern light rail system.  Additionally, Pittsburgh has funicular railways, known as inclines.  These are essentially cable cars, powered by an external motor.

The light rail system and the inclines are both operated by the Port Authority of Allegheny County, which runs just about anything related to transportation in Pittsburgh.
