L Route
The L Route begins at the F&L Junction south of L'Enfant Plaza station, and runs to the C&L junction just north of Pentagon station via the Charles R. Fenwick Bridge, which is part of the 14th Street Bridge complex. The route is serviced along its entire length by the Yellow Line. The L Route is the only one of Metro's lettered routes that contains no stations, and also contains a section of tunnel that was prefabricated and then sunk in the Washington Channel.
